Going to College for Less -- Global Options

For some U.S. citizens, heading off to college will require a passport. The New York Times article Global Classrooms - Going to College for Less features American students pursuing a prestigious international college education at a cost well below the tuition at a top private university in the United States.

At St. Andrews in Scotland, Americans currently comprise 1,230 Americans of the 7,200 students. According to the New York Times, St. Andrews has 10 recruiters visiting American high schools; and, other universities worldwide, many of them in Canada and England, are also recruiting affluent American students.
